UNP to meet SLFP tomorrow

The main opposition UNP is to meet with the SLFP tomorrow at the SLFP headquarters in Colombo to discuss the UNP’s proposed draft constitution.The UNP has already held discussions with several political parties on the matter and is in the process of continuing the discussion.


The UNP is continuing to distribute its draft constitution to scholars and other political parties for review.

UNP General Secretary MP Tissa Attanayake and Media Spokesperson MP Gayantha Karunathilaka have launched the measure presenting the draft constitution to the social activist and the founder and president of the Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement Dr. A. T. Ariyaratne.

The party aims to obtain the ideas and suggestions from the scholars and other political parties to initiate a comprehensive dissuasion on formulating a broad draft constitution suitable for the country.
