People’s assembly to discuss UNP proposals

UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe will meet representatives of Civil Society Organisations today to discuss the new constitutional proposals of his party. The meeting will be held at the J. R. Jayewardene Centre, Colombo 7. from 10.00 a.m. Apart from the UNP leader, UNP parliamentarian Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe and Platform for Freedom Convener, Attorney-at-Law Sudarshana Gunawardena
will address the gathering. A People’s Assembly will be convened to debate the proposals made by the UNP on the new constitution with the participation of political party leaders and civil society representatives soon after the meeting.
