Western provincial council UNP member Harshana Rajakaruna says that although the Govt trying to impose a code of ethics upon journalists, what is really necessary is a code of ethics to the Govt politicians and their sons.Expressing these views at a media meeting held today, Mr. Rajakaruna said that the only crime journalists have done is revealing the misdeeds of these Govt politicians.
he emphasized that journalists need no code of ethics.
Speaking further, he pointed out that most of the Govt members have been accused of bribery and corruption charges while some have even sent to prison.
He said while the situation is going bad to worse, the Govt is trying to connect the Bodh Gaya attack to the 13th Amendment.
